What is Shockwave Therapy?
Shockwave Therapy is a form of non-invasive treatments used on a variety of musculoskeletal conditions that helps promote accelerated recovery from injuries, especially muscle and joint pain in areas where major connective muscle tissues attach to your bones. Shockwave therapy works by sending short pressure wave into an injured area to help breakdown scar tissue and relieve pain by stimulating growth of new tissue. Research has shown that shockwave therapy can stimulate new blood vessel growth which can lead to the growth of new muscle, tendon, and bone. In some cases, it can be used to help fractures align better and properly heal. We offer the latest in shockwave therapy techniques to help our patients.
